Review on MICTUNING Universal Hawk Eye Motorcycle Convex by Timothy Harper

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Installed on DR350 - good replacement mirrors

First impressions at a glance. I'll update the review after a while to see how they fare over time. Good Points: *Upgraded left and right mirrors with threads for Suzuki DR350 Duel Sport motorcycle. Screw in directly. No adapters required* Although field of view can be improved, as a starting point field of view is perhaps 25% better than standard DR350 mirrors. The slightly more "modern" mirror design is a balance between field of view and a more modern "look" added to the bike. Some bulges on the glass would have done the design good. But in general the field of view is still better than a standard mirror (again as a guide) * Good viewing mirror adjustment angles * So far on the road and trails the mirrors have maintained their adjustment position. 'Cons' Points * The only reason for 4 stars and not 5; The angle of the mirror shaft at the bending point should be more bent. As some have noted and I see the mirrors on some bikes are too vertical and look a bit silly. it said. again. and be fair. These are universal mirrors. not $120 for any OEM mirror. As such, these mirrors are too upright on bikes with near-horizontal handlebars (like ATVs or Duel Sports), while they are too vertical on "sportier" bikes (with handlebar clamps typically sloping downwards). The mirrors probably look almost right. On a DR350 with stock handlebars (and probably most dueling sportbikes) the mirrors start to look silly. but still acceptable at least on the DR350. If after a while I don't like it, I can always remove the mirrors and bend the shafts a little more (about 15 degrees) at the existing bend point on the shaft to get more bending and less "verticality" in it. . It's much easier to add a crease if needed than to try to reduce the crease. So I think the angle of the curve should be a balancing act for the designer. Suggest adding about 10 more degrees at the shaft bend. But then again. it's normal the way it is. Summary; I would buy again (and did when they were still on sale at Revain). If you play a dueling sport, at some point along the way your mirrors will break and you will need to replace one or both mirrors. You might also have some spare parts on hand. I will update the rating when the mirrors accumulate more kilometers. If the rating helped you. I like. Many Thanks
