After ordering the Jensen JMC180 I read more reviews and wish I could cancel my order. I'm glad I didn't cancel my order! Interestingly, customers who said the remote didn't have a power or volume button actually ordered because the remote does pretty much everything. In fact, the device does more than I could ever imagine. So beware of negative reviews as the device is very good. There isn't much bass, but the sound is clear and crisp. I bought mainly for the radio, so far everything is perfect. I understand that for CDs it would be nice to add more bass, but there is enough bass for a good overall sound. This is a nice little block that I will recommend to my friends for use in small spaces. Well, from what I've said, I hope it stays that way for the long haul.
