This is the second time I've bought these for shoes (first ones were colored) and I cannot recommend enough. They keep your shoes snug and eliminate the loops and dangling ends that can come untied or caught on things. The slip locks provide more than enough pressure to keep them from inadvertently slipping and the end caps stay fastened. I've come to like these so much that I've even put them in my side zip boots! One minor tip: Leave the ends extra long and walk around in the shoes for a bit and adjust as needed for the perfect fit before you cut them to the recommended length. I made that mistake on my very first installation and almost didn't have enough to let them out to get the right fit.
