I bought this remote control together with the large upholstered K&H Lectro outdoor bed. I was concerned that the bed would be designed for much colder weather and would be too warm for my cats to sleep on comfortably. The thermostat built into the bed has been found to work really well - the bed keeps my cats at the perfect temperature day and night. a week without. If your pet often lies on or near the bed, you might want to get one, but you'll likely find that the bed works just fine without it.
