Good product. This is what you get!

This is the first year my small orchard has produced a large quantity of apples, so I pulled out an old mechanical peeler that had been sitting in the attic for 25 years. I spent an hour setting it up so it wouldn't destroy every apple I've tried. I thought I was stuck with manual exfoliation but decided to see if there's something that doesn't take more effort than it's worth. After reading reviews of different scrubs here and watching a few YouTube videos, I decided to give it a try. It worked great right out of the box and only took about 30 seconds to screw on the handle and teeth. Here's what I liked the most: - Sturdy construction, well made and well finished - The suction base sticks to my granite like mad. counters and does not disengage; If you have a smooth, non-porous surface to attach it's much better than the ones that attach to the underside of the counter with a screw (and invariably wobble) - very clearly written instructions (not a bad English translation from another language) - Reasonably priced (I know there's another one on this site that looks about the same and costs a few bucks less, but I thought this one had better reviews overall) - Works with a variety of apple sizes, even fairly large ones; also adapts well to apples with crooked edges without spoiling them. The hoop that forms the core does a really good job of keeping the apple centered despite the shape of the apple. You just have to do your best to level the apple as you place it on the tines, but the peeler is quite forgiving even when the apple is quite wobbly. the bulk of the apple; There's only about 1/8" top and bottom where the apple is "flat". And I just eat it - the spirally-cut slices are thicker for dehydrating, freezing, and cake-making. I was worried a blade might get in Looping blade "wastes" more apple pulp than a straight blade, but the loss is negligible. Lots of waste. For my first batch, I processed about 50-60 apples of 5 different varieties, varying greatly in size, symmetry, and hardness Distinguished.s and sat for a couple of weeks, it was so soft that the tines started spinning freely in the core even before the whole apple was peeled Sink and all the waste Really: no more peel and apple juice making my bottom sticky This is one of those kitchen gadgets that works well consistently as opposed to those that work well 90% of the time but are annoying and time consuming other 10% of the time actually it's really fun and fast and that's w important when looking at bushels of apples.
