I was so excited about these innovative food lids that no longer require plastic wrap. Unfortunately I covered half of the red onion and then diced the onion and used the chopper to cover the pyrex skin. The next morning my whole fridge smelled like onions. I soaked the hugger in baking soda water but it still smells like onions. Unfortunately I threw it away. The covers must be hand dried after washing as the hem prevents water from running off. Such a great concept, just poor quality. I applaud these two women for trying to help our environment and I know that over time they will come up with a better product that doesn't absorb or retain the smell of the food it covers.
