Review on Renewed Linksys WUSB6300 - Dual-Band AC1200 Wireless USB 3.0 Adapter by Steven Doty

Revainrating 5 out of 5

It works well with high speed WiFi.

Already had one of my 3 computers with an AC enabled router. Worked well on a 3 year old desktop (4th gen processor) and the newest laptop already supports AC. I bought this for a 2 year old laptop that was just refurbished and it works fine. My ISP guarantees 60 Mbit/s, I often get up to 75 Mbit/s, even for two people with this key. It replaced the Linksys Wireless dual-band B/G/N model that had worked well for over a year. I have USB 3.0 ports to connect two devices, although they still greatly improved transmission in USB 2.0 ports when they were all I had. Read negative reviews and any company can have lemons or unrealized conflicts with newer technology. I'm mostly lucky and have the ones that work well, so I like these two that help me make better use of the FAST download and upload speeds. It's easy to install and I'm not a techie, although I've been working with computers as a layman since 1983.

Pros
  • Easy router or access point setup and easy computer setup and compatibility - Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) button support for easy connection to a wireless router or wireless access point. Easy-to-use CD installation wizard compatible with Microsoft Windows 8, 7, Vista SP1/SP2 and XP SP3.
Cons
  • Sad hardware
