It works well with high speed WiFi.

Already had one of my 3 computers with an AC enabled router. Worked well on a 3 year old desktop (4th gen processor) and the newest laptop already supports AC. I bought this for a 2 year old laptop that was just refurbished and it works fine. My ISP guarantees 60 Mbit/s, I often get up to 75 Mbit/s, even for two people with this key. It replaced the Linksys Wireless dual-band B/G/N model that had worked well for over a year. I have USB 3.0 ports to connect two devices, although they still…

Pros

Cons
  • Sad hardware

8x faster than built-in 802.11n, software erratic

Installed on an HP Envy H8-1520t desktop. The previous adapter was 802.11n Ralink, which according to Speedtest gave me a download speed of 21 Mbps. Linksys connected to a Comcast XB3 router via 802.11ac gave me a download speed of 163 Mbps, which is almost 8 times faster. The installation on WIN10 was automatic. Windows automatically detected the adapter. All I had to do was disable Ralink, select my wireless network, and enter my WPA password (WPS worked too). Update from 12/28/2016 Rating…

Unstable speed. But here is hope!

After using this adapter for a few months, I can say from my experience that the WiFi speeds are consistent everywhere. At first it connected at 173 Mbps, then 585, then 173 again. Tried turning the router on and off, rebooting, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. It's very unstable. My old WLAN N Linksys was constantly at 300. That's when it dawned on me. I went to Device Manager and then Linksys WUSB6300 Properties and changed two things. Go to the "Advanced" tab and first change the…

Pros
  • Unmatched wireless speed and performance of dual-band technology - up to 867 Mbps* in the 5 GHz wireless AC band or up to 300 Mbps* in the 2.4 GHz wireless N -Tape.
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

My settings Asus U56EWindow 7 Home Premium USB 3 and USB 2 ports The product came in a plain brown box with installation software on a CD. Follow the installation instructions on the CD.1. Install CD2. Run master3. Plug the Linksys adapter into a USB port 34. Connecting to my wireless network The adapter setup went smoothly and I connected to my router (TP-LINK Archer C9 AC1900 Dual Band Wireless Gigabit AC Router). Speed and connectivity were great. After a few days, the adapter seemed…
