Bought this in place of curtains for the front door with glass panels and an unobstructed view of neighbors down the street. Some privacy was needed, but I didn't want to lose the sunlight. My boyfriend and I love the frosted glass look - I find it a bit classier than curtains. I tried a plain matte window finish and didn't like it at all. Looked cheap and blocked too much light. The next one I chose was this one. I realized you get what you pay for! Note that it comes with instructions but I can't find them. So I started without. I had to cover 6 glasses. The first 2 were made by cutting the panels to the exact size. It was pretty painful. Decided to cut a little more and then trim with a utility knife after applying. and it was only after cutting the next 2 glasses that I found the instructions included in the roll. I realized I hadn't sprayed enough water on the windows to make it easier to apply the film. After doing that, it became easier for me to mount the film onto the glass before cutting. By the way, the disguise was a separate PITA. It was painful to leave a 1/16 inch margin for water removal. Needless to say, the look is gorgeous - very classy and way better than regular glaze. I miss the sun and the view, although my boyfriend and I are much happier that we can sit on our couch and the people outside our home can't see us petting each other!
