Review on K Edge Pro Chain Catcher Black by Steve Waldbillig

The chain catcher is very well made. It fits my bike perfectly and has perfect clearance for a bottle cage and I can reach it within 0.5mm of the chain when it's in the small ring. I only occasionally drop my chain so I don't know how effective this thing is, but if it protects my shiny new carbon frame I'm happy. My only complaint is that the bolt holding the chain catcher is soft and the head breaks off easily. The instructions recommend a torque of 3-4Nm for this screw, DO NOT tighten to this value, you would snap the screw, finger tight enough to hold the trap in place. I used a 3Nm torque wrench and as I was tightening it I noticed the head of the bolt was starting to warp so luckily I stopped before it completely stripped off. The larger screw holding the switch has no stripping issues and you can easily tighten it to the recommended 6Nm. For reference, the SRAM Red AXS derailleur is a great fit.
