They seem to be pretty accurate - maybe within 1 degree Fahrenheit. However, I had a lot of trouble getting them to work properly when powered by the same power source as the microchip. Even if I disconnect them from the chip's power supply, they still show fairly random values (+-10 degrees Fahrenheit for example). I never solved this riddle. Even weirder, it works when powered by an Arduino! I think they just filtered out the power supply noise better than I did.
