Review on πŸ“» Sangean DT-200X Black Portable Digital Pocket Radio with FM-Stereo/AM Tuning by Montrell Copeland

Revainrating 5 out of 5

This is a great radio, I don't think it can be beat.

This is a great radio I don't think it could be better for the price digital radio with 19 preset stations and very easy to use they made it very easy use use. Nice big numbers on the display, very good quality. The sound quality on the speaker is very good and with a nice set of headphones or Skull Candy headphones (they are much better than OEM but not very good quality) from Walmart is an upgrade and cheap. I really like the 90 minute timer, if the radio stays on it's fine, it turns off automatically, magical, the reception on this radio is excellent! on AM and FM frequencies. VERY LONG battery life. I like that the FM antenna is a cable that plugs into the headphone jack, regular metal telescopic antennas are very fragile. That means I can either use the antenna wire that came with it, make a new antenna out of the wire and headphone jack, or make an FM antenna with a long wire (Note: I have LOTS of radios). I made a 50ft VHF antenna wire that extends out the window and onto the roof of the house and another 30ft VHF antenna for traveling or hiking for better VHF reception. For much better AM reception I have a Tecsun AN-200 AM loop antenna, you can build an AM loop antenna that will really pick up distant and weak AM stations. I don't use the included pocket clip, but I can put my stand on it very quickly in the pocket clip holder on the back of the radio. I made a stand out of a paper clip and a paper clip, the stand is designed to tilt the radio backwards so it is held at an angle to better hear through the speaker. This is really a great radio.

Pros
  • 90 minute auto shut off shockproof ABS case
Cons
