Review on HOBOT-298: Smart Window Cleaning Robot with Ultrasonic Water Spray, Smartphone Control, and Remote Operation by Adisorn Chantaprom ᠌

Revainrating 3 out of 5

I thought it would be better, but overall not bad.

In general, if it weren’t for the price, I would put 4 points and maybe even 5. But guys, such a “toy” for more than 20 thousand, this, in my frank water, is a divorce (not on window glass, but in life). Then write everywhere on the boxes (let all manufacturers of these robots be obliged to do this): not for washing, but for maintaining cleanliness, there is also a table of permissible temperatures, minimum window areas, etc. and so on.

Pros
  • The very idea. Well packaged, product looks good overall. If you adapt very much, wait for the right temperature, weather, and comply with all conditions, then this will help you in washing windows, especially large areas .
Cons
  • The most important thing I didn’t like is that it can fall off, yes it has a safety rope, it has a warning system that it can fall off, but there are moments when it stupidly falls off without having time to utter a word, I caught it all the time. Now imagine the cable on which it is insured. Well, it will hang on it - but a) it will hit a wall or a window - it is made of plastic, inside the part is also not made of titanium :) b) it can break the neighbors window (if you live in a multi-storey building) - well, or if the neighbor at that moment he will smoke on the balcony - a funny "surprise" awaits him in the form of a robot flying into his face with a squeak . The second drawback is surface preparation, it must be - very dirty windows need to be wiped (from the category - before installing dirty dishes in the dishwasher - they need to be washed). The third drawback is the atomizer, it sprays - yes, but a) judging by the spare nozzle - when it stops doing it, i. E. it's a consumable! b) napkins need to be placed and wetted in a certain proportion, i. E. completely dry - it won’t roll, it will smear. Strongly wet - too, or will slide, or there will be stains.
