so I don't know if my old review is showing. I could not power this device no matter what I tried. This device will not work as is with most trucks. I have to say how is your truck. I'm not a mechanic and didn't know that. nobody tells you that, but most trucks don't come standard with hot power for a 7-pin connector. You need to look at your fuse box, unplug and insert a fuse and in some cases power that fuse by plugging it in. Luckily mine only needed a backup. I learned all this from YouTube. It would be very helpful if the manufacturer would mention this. I bet most returns are for these reasons. Now that it has the power it works fine now. It's quite loud so I only gave it a 4 as my last one was very quiet.
