Used as a precaution because I thought I might get ichthyophthyriasis. I have a 50 liter aquarium. Used it as directed and was disappointed. It will brown your water a bit, which isn't a big deal, but be aware. That thing smells bad too. Although I don't think I had it, this along with the other medications I was taking (Paragaurd and Melafix) may have helped. After a week of treatment I changed 50% of the water and looked at the results. All of my fish looked great and healthy, but my plants were a different story. My swords melted the leaves, my Monte Carlo turned yellow and started dying, my whole aquarium started getting inundated with surface algae (I have CO2 and lighting) and ALL my red swimmers died. For planted aquariums that don't have a way to remove all fish, this is one of the few other ways to kill ichthyosis. Just remove any plants that are most important to you because it stresses your plants and the algae love it. 2 weeks after using this product my fish are still looking great and the plants are recovering. Aquarium photo for reference.
