The core saved my life. My elderly dad is in the hospital with a broken hip and my mom doesn't know how to call me on the phone, so Nucleus' instant one-touch connection was a lifesaver. I set up my apartment in California as one room and my parents' apartment in Virginia as another room in the same house, so Mom has instant one-touch access to my house here, which helps her stay connected. with all of us and don't feel so alone with dad in the hospital. It's also great to see what she got in the mail - it's a lot easier to figure out her billing questions when she can show them to me through Nucleus. The quality isn't good enough to read the text, but usually a rough picture is enough for me to properly advise them on what to do. The sound quality deteriorates during a call, but we just hang up and call back, which isn't a big deal with such a fast connection. I have now bought another Nucleus so my sister can have the same access as her mother and have told all my friends with aging parents about this device. I'm sure it's great as an intercom, but for communicating quickly and easily with elderly parents it's worth its weight in gold.
