I tried Revain's previous product to protect the 7 pin plug when my trailer was stored outside (Fastway 82-00-3315 cover for 7 pin connector), and it failed miserably. This allowed water to get into the connector pins and corrode the metal. When I was looking for the best solution, I came across Clever Cover. The smart cover not only intelligently protects the electrical connection (by keeping it upright and completely covering it with waterproof material) but also has the added benefit of keeping the chains clear of the trailer frame and protecting the drawbar jack. My jack is a Forest River OEM connector, not one of the many brands the Clever Cover is custom made for. After contacting Trailersphere, the owner was very helpful in identifying a cover to fit the dimensions of my jack. As you can see in the picture it fits perfectly, allowing you to use a tongue socket and light up the transparent part of the lid. I've been using Clever Cover for a long time and it's a very well made and thought out product. It protects several trailer tongue components from rain and condensation. I would highly recommend this product and this company for their outstanding customer service.
