Review on 🔧 DWVO Fuel Pump for 1999-2001 Ford Explorer/Mercury Mountaineer 4.0L 5.0L (Also fits 2001 Ford Explorer Sport Trac) by Jeff Diaz

This item did not fit my car despite the website confirming this. I only found out after my mechanic tried to install it, a 2001 Sport Trac had two different styles of fuel pumps from that year and my VIN number was able to identify which one was compatible with my truck. I was able to return it without incident which was the only reason I gave it 2 stars but it still cost me an extra $120 because my mechanic had already put it on the stand with the fuel tank and pump removed. I was forced to buy the part locally at a ridiculous price or pay my mechanic extra labor to put it all back together and put my now broken car into storage while I ordered the correct pump. I don't know who is responsible for the incomplete database that caused the problem, or if the fuel pump was a good working pump, but I do know that I'm upset about the $120 lost.
