My main problem with the old coaster is not that I lost it but that it doesn't stay closed. This new stand is even thinner and more inert. They don't want to show you in any of the pictures, but the design of the clock is just a small plastic flap that you insert the stand into to hold the stand open. Nothing keeps the stand closed, and that little plastic flap fell off when I took the stand out of the box. Screwdrivers are very cheap. They didn't damage any of the screws but do wear down easily from the screws and were virtually useless after the first screw.
