Review on Dolica Odyssey Aluminum Professional Waterproof by Andrew Spainhour

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Broke after 5 months, no customer service.

Availability I purchased this tripod for my photography shop in March 2019 and last month I lifted the camera off the main stand and the entire top fell off along with the camera attached to it. Close conversation but managed to keep my camera from falling to the floor. When I contacted Dolica via their email support page to explain my situation, they replied that they would honor the manufacturer's 5 year warranty by sending a new tripod with a return label to ship my defective unit . It wasn't a bad customer service experience until I responded a few weeks later after receiving a replacement. No Answer. I opened another support request, but no response either. I tried calling multiple times and their number went straight to automated voicemail. The tripod isn't actually bad either, it's light and strong and has a lot of great features, but their poor customer service is unacceptable and I won't be buying from them. again. Beware of their products, I'm sure their cheaper consumer products are fine, but it's meant to be a "professional tripod" and it doesn't live up to that standard.
