Review on ๐Ÿ“ท Compact Video Cameras & DSLR Cameras Tripod Fluid Head Pan Tilt Head with Quick Release Plate for Arca Swiss - SmallRig Selection 3259 by Rodney Mendoza

Definitely a small mount on the moving head... good if it suits you...

NAME: Smallrig brand liquid mount, selection #3259) SUMMARY: As others have pointed out , this is a really compact liquid mount head. Currently $45 and weighing about 13.5 ounces, it's less than half the weight of what I've seen as the next level in budget liquid heads, commonly referred to as "heavy duty," and heads that weigh 2 pounds. , and sell for $60 plus. I noticed two points that I think would put me off buying this mount over the next larger heads. And the one that shows as similar on the supplier page is from another verified supplier. That's the 2 pound head I just mentioned. So for me, two pounds of liquid head is better than less than a pound. So if I only had one moving head for video and photo work, it would be a heavier head. The second issue I had with this small mount was the travel of the "quick release plate" like the smaller Arca Swiss mount. There is very little forward and backward movement. While this is related to the size of the mount, it doesn't make sense if you need to travel more to balance your camera and its longer lens on a tripod's liquid mount. Most big heads, even in the $60 mount, use the competitive QR mount system, which is also "longer" front-to-back on these mounts and notably allows for more travel in its mounts. These are the hydraulic head mounts I saw on the Smallrig seller page. These may be things you want to consider. Putting aside the things I didn't particularly like and considering this liquid mount for those looking for the features packed into a compact and lightweight mount, it deserves 5 stars.
