Very bright; Great light!

I bought it to replace the old glowing mess. This LED emergency light is very bright - much, much brighter than the old fluorescent it replaces. I like that it switches to full brightness instantly (unlike my old one, which warms up in minutes in cold weather). I've only been using it for a few weeks, but so far it's been taking short drops with no problems. There are some things I like about him more than my old lantern. 1) No transformer/power supply at the end of the cable. My old flashlight had a small rock on the end of the plug that could sometimes interfere with the duplex outlet's second socket. 2) Recessed power switch. I can't tell you how many times over the years I've tripped over the toggle switch on my old lantern while holding it. This light is a button that is almost impossible to accidentally press. 3) Nice long cable. It was one of the main things I was looking for in a new light. 4) Container in the light. It can be used as an extension if needed. Unfortunately, the outlet is right next to the cord entry, making it difficult to plug in outlets, but the fact that there's even an outlet is a plus. A few things I don't like about her. 1) folding hook. It's a personal preference, but in my opinion it's no problem. The hook must be out at all times. I love that it spins, but I have a feeling it might be a weak point that might fail at some point. 2) It's a bit big. LED lights seem to be getting smaller, but this light is physically larger than my old fluorescent tube. Part of this is no doubt due to the fact that the power supply is inside the flashlight and not at the end of the cord, but still. Overall I am very happy with this flashlight. I hope it lasts at least half as long as my old one!
