This case is better than my old one as you can see. The old one has steam iron stains, and let's hope this case really "burns out" the stains on it. Shredded part of the old one by using a circular saw to cut the board, I live in an apartment so what are you going to do?! I'm very glad about that. The food cannot be removed from the case so I can't imagine how it can be washed as I know the type of food it contains turns into a rat mess after washing. it's like spanking but not as stretchy. I have a standard ironing board and this cover is very tight at the square end and loose along the 2.5 foot length of the board. I think for almost $20 it would be reasonable to add some clips as they are made in China so you know it costs around $1.28 to produce. Now I have to go to the store and buy clips and I don't appreciate it. The design is super modern, you can see it as masculine or feminine and I think it's beautiful. I'm going to paint the legs of the ironing board beige to soften it now that I know how nice it looks. I'll update the info in about a month once I've covered it, on a delicate cycle of course.
