I had previously purchased a wired system because wireless systems had frequent reports of failing and I needed a reliable system. The wired solution works well but takes some effort and hours to disassemble the panels in your car for a clean install and to hide the cable. Since the back of my car is a large piece of metal, I was concerned that the radio signal would not be reliable. I decided to try this for another car as it doesn't have many complaints. I tried my standard test first before going through all the installation steps and it only took 5-10 minutes and was easy. I was pleasantly surprised at how easy and quick everything went and the image appeared quickly the first time. The black and white night view is quite sharp in the dark and switches to a colored day view in very low light. (Just shine a flashlight at night and the image instantly switches to day view, which has a pretty good color image in low light.) A couple of notes: day view fills the entire display. Night View shows a centered oval black and white image that fills most of the display (although the corners of the rectangular display are obscured). This device has a much higher resolution camera/display than the wired version I bought so the picture is actually slightly better. There is a support email in the guide and I've found them to respond quickly to questions/comments (within a few hours or the next day). The instructions state that you can always contact them to fix any problems or replace parts to ensure you have a properly working system. The device I received had two approx. 3-inch external antennas, but also a third 12-inch antenna for additional long-distance use, which I really appreciated given my concerns about wireless performance. I didn't know it would come to this. But I didn't really need the extra long antenna. If you don't have one, it looks like they're broadcasting it for free if your signal isn't stable. You need power for the camera (by connecting to reversing lights) and for the display (cigarette lighter). "Wireless" means you don't need to run a cable from the rear camera to the front display, eliminating most of the installation work of these systems. Backup power for the taillights is usually readily available so connecting to a power source is not a problem.
