Pleasant indigo colour. Not quite blue, not quite purple, but deep indigo, which is nice. Background: I have Asian hair dyed blue. It was sanded first and then Joico Intensity Sapphire was applied. I have maintained my color with Joico about every 3 weeks. Joico colors my hair well and doesn't stain my hands or clothes after the first rinse and wash. The raw color is a very intense deep color BUT it oozes everywhere afterwards no matter how many washes. My arms are still turning blue, as are my clothes, neck, pillow and everything else. I hope this ends at some point. Update: It's been almost 2 weeks and the occasional spots seem to have stopped. I attribute this to 2 factors. 1) it's been 2 weeks and 2) most of the accidental stains happened in Florida (I live in California but took a week vacation to Florida). The humidity there makes this hair product easy to create. The color stays on everything she touches, her hands, neck, towels, pillows, sheets, clothes, etc. I've barely noticed any stains since I've been back. I changed the rating from 3 stars to 4 stars because the first rinse and wash was still quite dirty, but the color is really bright and long lasting. I have received many compliments. And there was no noticeable color fading. If this continues, I'd trade the initial mess for a long-term color. Change to 5 stars.
