I raised my bed to create storage space. However, when I did this it became difficult for me to sit on the edge of the bed to put on my shoes etc. I didn't have much space between the end of the bed and the dresser so I couldn't get a large bench for space. This bench was my solution and it worked great! First, the materials are definitely high-quality and it's a snap to put together. It even included a few tools (an Allen key and a short Phillips screwdriver) needed for assembly. Many reviews mention a strong smell from bank materials. Mine didn't smell at all! When assembled, it turns out to be very strong and durable furniture. It says it has a weight capacity of 220 pounds, but when I sit on it, it holds my 270 pounds with no problem. a bench to sit on, storage space is just a bonus. It was the perfect solution for my needs and I am very happy with my purchase. I highly recommend this item!
