I have ridden every day my whole life and I am an LD rider. With the exception of a few driveshafts, most of my bikes had chains. Chain and sprocket life requires that the chain be kept clean, and since the links of most modern chains are sealed with grease, external lubrication serves to protect the chains from rust and adds some lubrication between the chain rollers and sprockets added. Unfortunately, most lubes splatter all over the bike and rider, attracting and trapping harmful grit in the links and coating everything around them when applied. This beautiful material comes straight from the tube with an attached brush, does not run and can be applied so thinly and transparently that it does not retain sand. Now I use it exclusively and recommend it.
