Ideal for backpack storage

Only bought this to get caught in a downpour on an upcoming trip. We did. The rain washed out the chain lube for me and 4 other bikes and that one tube was enough to lube all of our bikes by a wide margin and you could still see great coverage even after the 700 mile ride home. Aerosol Lube definitely wouldn't have lasted that long so I'm very impressed!

  • Questionable purchase for seniors

I walked away through two tubes.

Just bought my third tube of this stuff. It's just fantastic. I will never buy sprays again. The downside is that it takes a "long time" to apply properly. But what bike owner doesn't mind having a beer and working on their bike? The other, very minor in my opinion, is that some of it comes off after relubrication and wipes the rim. Then he never flies again. Another great thing about this material is that it stays on the chain forever. It's hard to find in bike shops, so stock up here. If you…

Best chain oil ever!

I have ridden every day my whole life and I am an LD rider. With the exception of a few driveshafts, most of my bikes had chains. Chain and sprocket life requires that the chain be kept clean, and since the links of most modern chains are sealed with grease, external lubrication serves to protect the chains from rust and adds some lubrication between the chain rollers and sprockets added. Unfortunately, most lubes splatter all over the bike and rider, attracting and trapping harmful grit in the

A kind of chain lube of the future. Lasts longer than most sprays and is thicker. It spreads along the chain so you really only need to apply to a small section of chain. The brush feels uncomfortable at first, but it "breaks" and gets better. A good thing. Update I found that you just wet the brush and then clean the chain. If you see clumps of white paste, you're doing it wrong. Also, you only need to create about 10 links and let them spread. I only cover the back of the links around the…

Not impressed - back to Spray Lube

This seemed like an interesting approach to chain lubrication, so I decided to give it a try. I figured it would be less messy, more accurate, and less wasteful than spraying lube. After a few chain maintenance intervals, however, I will fall back on "traditional" chain lubricating spray. Chain and pendulum for wiping. I ended up unscrewing the tip of the applicator from the tube and using it like a small brush, which turned out to be more cumbersome and slower than just spraying lube. Second…
