I loved the extra light this LED strip provided in my trunk. However, this caused electrical problems in my 2016 Honda Accord. The connector is very cheap and I had trouble installing it. The main problem was that the cable didn't always make contact with the Honda socket. However, after you pull the wire a little further away from the case, bending it into a U-shape creates more surface contact for the wire to contact the outlet. All of a sudden it worked stably. I was happy. For 2 months I had no problems and I was happy. However, one day while driving home, the TRUNK OPEN warning light came on all the time. I pulled off the road, opened and closed the trunk and the turn signal went off. But after 10 minutes it started again. Later, while I was shopping in the store, the car alarm started ringing. I went out and turned it off. Then I locked the car and stood there for a few minutes to check. Soon the car alarm started ringing again. Nobody touched him. I removed this 18 SMD 5050 LED strip and reinstalled the original OEM bulb. All of my electrical demons immediately disappeared and everything was back to normal. I waited a full 7 days before writing this review just to make sure I didn't have any further issues. And after I removed the 18 SMD 5050 LED strip light everything was fine.
