These are great shoes for summer, lake or river swimming, kayaking or any other activity where you'd rather not ruin your socks and sneakers. They are very very light. However, the toes and solid base actually offer decent protection when walking on pebbles. The interior also has some traction to keep your foot inside. I could probably order a half size smaller and they would still fit. The unisex size seems a little off. I also bought these red and yellow ones and the red ones were about half a size bigger despite being the same size (I chose the women's 8.5). To be honest, I'm saving them for the summer sports season. They are more functional than Crocs.
