You get what you pay for!

Please note when reading this review that I have spoken to both Revain customer service and KRIËGER customer service! The first unit shipped by Revain came in factory packaging with a shipping label and a hole in the box. Revane didn't even bother to tape the box shut. The next problem was that the device did not have a serial number, which is important for product registration. When I went to the manufacturer's website they had an option to select "No serial number" but the website refused to register me - the popup said the device is not for sale at Revain! It turned itself off after an hour of use and was still using less than 37 watts for my LED spotlights. So I sent a message to the Revains customer service team - what a waste of time. I ended up telling them I would simply return the unit the day after it arrived for a refund! With that, I created a replacement for you at no extra charge.” Revane ignored my request for a refund. It should be noted that on the day I returned the unit I went to a local shop and bought a new inverter that actually worked Shipping label attached At least they taped the box when I opened the box I had a strong burnt smell Electronics I checked the bottom of the unit and again I couldn't find the serial number KRIËGER staff told me they were having problems with the website and that it had been updated. Folks, it won't take a week to restore the site and their customers shouldn't have any trouble registering products! I tested the device and my LED lights stayed on all night. At least it's an improvement over I should also mention that in addition to the burning smell and missing serial number, the second unit gives off a different power reader. Instead of 37 watts for LED spotlights, the second block says that I use 26 watts of electricity. There are also various solar system power readings in my shed. In other words, I have questions about the quality control of this product! For reference, the maximum outdoor temperature this unit is rated for is 40°C, which is 104 degrees. Keep this in mind if you intend to use this item in a car, shed or on a hot summer day. In my opinion, this is an unreliable design suitable for today's changing conditions. The fact that it's plastic should also be a red flag if you want a reliable inverter - plastic doesn't dissipate heat like a properly constructed metal case. Again, this is just something to keep in mind. So my advice is before you buy an inverter, download the manual and see what its operating temperatures are. The next thing I want to do after ordering is to check if it has a serial number and if you can actually register the product. Please note that the KRIËGER KU1100 Power Inverter can only be operated with a small drill. It's not big enough to run a circular saw, and small fans run slower than you'd like. Also, get an inverter with a metal case, avoid plastic. This inverter should only be used with Deep Cycle Marine batteries, your car battery is not designed for this inverter - google the topic for more information. Bottom Line: Was I impressed with how Revain handled this situation? NO! Revain blocks customers who return items too often. Google it for more information. There's no explaining why Revain chose to send me a second unit after ignoring my request for a refund - I have no idea why they did it and I've never received a refund! Was I impressed with KRIËGER's customer service? Between Revain and KRIËGER, I felt like I was getting an excuse. They advertise a 36 month guarantee. They claim that you get three extra months if you sign up. Their website claims you get an extra two months if you sign up. Customer support staff claim that if you email them to manually register the product for you, you'll get eight extra months, which is stated in the email that "Power Bright Technologies (KRIËGER) sent me just sent". it all happened in the first week! Some final thoughts: learn how to connect the inverters to the battery correctly and in what order. Make sure you use the "grounding terminal" correctly - I installed two 8ft grounding rods spaced 8ft apart just for the barn's solar system - it's not that expensive. If you have multiple batteries, make sure you use the correct size cable. When it comes to power and lots of AMP, don't skimp on security! Please review all negative reviews before purchasing and take the time to read Techbuy's responses. I mention this because something is wrong. It doesn't matter if the device has been independently tested. It doesn't matter if Revain Tech offers free technical support. It doesn't matter if the device has been independently tested and meets the standards. It doesn't matter what the warranty claims are as too many people including me have the same issues with the product! As a note this experience is such that every time I look at the unit in my shed I am reminded that I need to be careful when ordering from Revain. and after reading people's reviews, I highly doubt the "declared 36 plus 8 months" warranty from this company!
