Review on Chemical dry closet Thetford Porta Potti 365, 21 l by Mateusz Michalak ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Just super, the product is made wonderfully, very satisfied.

A handy thing, especially in winter in places where there is no sewerage. They did not regret that they took the 365th model, without a fill indicator it would be sad, and the 45th model with a small lower tank would not be enough for two people, besides, it would be less convenient to use due to its lower height. I can’t say about the difference in the drain system between 165 and 365 models, there was no way to compare, so for now we believe the information from the Internet "about greater reliability and convenience." We use it together with my wife, it lasts just for 5-6 days, indicated in the instructions for the Aqua Kem Blue liquid for the lower tank. While we are pouring branded consumables, I looked at analogues - cheaper per liter, but the consumption comes out more and lasts for a shorter period - so that’s what it comes out for :) No liquid can completely remove smells, but everything is at a normal level. Well, if you decide to take it, then keep in mind that once every 5-6 days someone will have to pull the lower tank of 21 liters and the upper, slightly smaller in mass as a warm-up :) : After less than a year of use, the fill indicator stopped moving and changing color, i. E. essentially broke. But this is no longer a problem, the degree of filling is quite easy to determine by the same sound of the flushing liquid. So you can take cheaper models without indicators) Otherwise, everything works properly, and it helps a lot in the cold season. Although we already use it in the summer, you get too used to the amenities)

Pros
  • Ease of use, convenience, thoughtful design
Cons
  • Relatively high price The fill indicator is not very uniform in readings, it starts to change color from green to red from about a half-filled lower tank - at first you wonder why it stays green for so long, and then for the remaining half of the time the scale quickly starts to change color, although this is a matter of habit)
