This product only works if it is applied to all wall surfaces. All surfaces must be covered or the frost will continue to grow. I suggest you use a gummy product as shown in the picture. Since the blue product didn't cover all the stains I used a white pad and it works great. I'm not sure what the white upholstery is. I think it is sold to be used under the mat to hold the mat in place. I used zip ties to attach all the padding. I covered the inside and outside of the freezer. As you can see from the picture, blue products take up a lot of space. I'll probably use a white spacer instead of a blue one to get some extra space. So no, I would not recommend this product. Try some sort of rubber grommet like I suggested. Update: the freezer still had to be defrosted fairly often when using these pads. When thawing, I punctured the tube in the freezer. All the freon leaked, I threw it away and bought a mini-fridge without a freezer. I wish I knew I could buy a mini fridge without a freezer then none of that would be a problem.
