At first glance, this camera may seem great, but it will be a source of endless frustration.

The first few weeks with these cameras were great. Seeing what's happening in your turf while you're away is like mental rest for the blind deer when you're stuck in a boring situation you're in. This is the coolest thing for a short time. Then you realize that these things drain batteries in a way you've never experienced in any other device. Had to keep a large AA clamshell in the UTV because they eat 8 batteries every 2 weeks. With 3 cameras, that's a lot of batteries. Then get solar panels for the tracking cameras and hook them up with a 12V plug and then they just don't keep up. Then you switch to 9ah 12v wild food batteries with a large solar panel and somehow the camera still has no power. SD cards often need to be formatted with firmware or they will stop working and SpyPoint support will be ineffective. They tell you that they can "push" updates to the camera, but that never works. I was able to successfully update the firmware on one camera but the rest died. Started with 3 cells between my family and I and they are all dead now. We bought the cameras when the bucks were first growing antlers and by the time deer season was over all 3 cameras were out of order. We've spent a lot of time, effort, and additional expense getting these things to work the way they did when we first activated them. Save yourself the headache and buy something else. If you really don't mind troubleshooting inconsistent devices, then this is the camera for you.
