I have very thick and very straight hair (I say don't even straighten it and it's straight all the time). The bristles of this comb don't go through all of my hair. I can understand that it won't go through anything that hangs down (because honestly no brush will do that), but it won't even go through the scalp. Of course it glides smoothly. but that's because it only touches a small thin layer of hair and doesn't go through the knots. The bristles only curve sideways and don't really comb the knots. I have to keep my hand on the hair in the brush or pull it up into the brush and then pull it down to work the hair without knotting. not to mention real knots. It was cheap but every penny was wasted. I don't know how vague words are for many people.
