This was the correct part. (98 Explorer) Remember it is pigtailed and not flush like my stock motor. It fits perfectly in the wiring harness, so no problems. I just wanted you to know the differences. Also, this engine does NOT come with a gasket to seal it to the heater box. I was able to carefully remove and reuse my old one. You might as well go to your store at home or elsewhere and get some thin gasket material and use it when needed. I was hoping my fan would be good so I just ordered the motor without it. It was pretty easy to remove the old fan and install it on the new motor.
