I have been an art teacher for over 20 years and have tried all types of scissors and have concluded that these are the best scissors on the market for school use with young children. I've never seen them break unlike other brands where the screw slipped and fell out, or the handle broke or the blades fell out. The blades are fairly sharp, but are not dangerous when used properly. If you are thinking of any other brand of pillow handles or sled handles, forget it and buy this one.
