Buy at least 1/0 AWG wire for anything over 900W and you better have a bigger battery!

Initial tests with a 330Ah battery pack and a 1350/1500W heater showed it worked but not with the tiny cheap cables that were included. The included cables are useless for anything over 500W! If you want near-rated power, buy at least 1/0 AWG wire. Use 2/0 AWG for about 4 feet of wire and 4/0 AWG if you need to install it up to 8 feet from the battery. There's no reason to have "land"! Your vehicle is not grounded! If you want the chassis to be grounded, connect the ground wire to the chassis ground lug! If you want it to be "grounded", connect this wire to a copper rod buried in the ground! ) in less than 3 minutes at 900 W load with 2/0 AWG cables. If you want to use this inverter with solar system, please buy lots of batteries, at least 1000Ah, and lots of panels! So yes, to use that $200 inverter for an extended period of time for a device with more than a few 100W, it costs an additional $10,000 to get it right. I bought it to use in my truck when the engine is running from a 260A alternator charging a 330Ah deep cycle AGM group. This is the bare minimum. I used a 10 amp saber saw that used 500 watts to start, a grinder and a fan with no problems. These tools, one at a time, are the maximum for the cables provided. I deduct 1 star for the smaller cables. I will update the shelf life information after installing this in my truck and using it for a while.
