This is a very nice heating pad. The outside is super soft and plush, feels really good against your skin. The cord is a little short so you have to be really close to an outlet and I find it hard to find a comfortable way to sit with it on my shoulder so the cord doesn't pull. (Guess I should try an extension cord.) It doesn't seem any different than any regular, cheaper heating pad. I'd read that the infrared heat penetrates deeper but don't see a difference in my sore muscles. Still, it's a very nice heating pad, if not exceptional.
