I'm giving 2 stars because the quality I was expecting based on the reviews just couldn't live up to it. I have to say that I have used them to wash dishes, pots, pans, cutlery etc. I hand wash dishes almost every day and have been using them for about a year. These sponges clean well enough that you can put a little grease on them and they won't scratch, that's for sure. However, durability is very poor. , and in less than a month holes began to appear in them, and they became less and less effective at grating food. You may have to rip food off of them to clean them, but that goes for any scrubber of this ilk.. At $10-11 for 6 pack, they're not worth it. As I don't expect the set to last a year I won't be buying it again.
