It looks well made and has worked perfectly for the 2 weeks I've used it. I've used many Cable Matters over the past few years with no problems. When it came to choosing between alternative dongles, I chose Cable Matters because I had no issues with their previous products. It's just a button, but it should work when you're switching from one interface to another - and this one works great. I teach at a university and connect my MacBook Pro to different AV systems depending on the class or location I'm in. I was attracted to this dongle because it has both HDMI and VGA in one device, so I just had to buy this one. separate buttons depending on the interface. If it stops working within the next year or I have other issues I will come back to this review but until then I am happy with the purchase.
