Suitable for Surface Pro 7

Suitable for connecting my Surface Pro 7 to a second monitor - $8 goodwill monitor. I wish it had a USB port instead of HDMI.

Multifunctional, affordable solution. Must have for USB-C devices!

Cable Matters is now my go-to for all AV cables! Accessible and always functional. Produces good 4K with HDMI and good 1080p with VGA. This particular adapter is very well made and has a metal body that feels very solid. I use it with my 2018 MacBook Pro!

Doesn't work for my Surface Pro 7

Tried it with both my Surface Pro 7 and my son-in-law's new MacBook. This didn't work on any of them when connected to a Dell monitor. We then tried his Apple Key, which worked on both of our computers, using the same Dell monitor. send back.

Great product, well built, compatible with all HDMI and VGA sources I've tested.

I've always liked Cable Matter products, they're well made and I've never had a problem connecting them to different types of switchers and video processors. Of course, this device also works well for those just trying to connect directly to a VGA LCD monitor or projector as well as an HDMI input. The biggest problem I see with some universal adapters, but not this one, is weird compatibility issues and digital handshake (HDCP) issues on HDMI and DVI. but again, no problem with Cable Matters…

Well made, works as expected

It looks well made and has worked perfectly for the 2 weeks I've used it. I've used many Cable Matters over the past few years with no problems. When it came to choosing between alternative dongles, I chose Cable Matters because I had no issues with their previous products. It's just a button, but it should work when you're switching from one interface to another - and this one works great.
