I've always liked Cable Matter products, they're well made and I've never had a problem connecting them to different types of switchers and video processors. Of course, this device also works well for those just trying to connect directly to a VGA LCD monitor or projector as well as an HDMI input. The biggest problem I see with some universal adapters, but not this one, is weird compatibility issues and digital handshake (HDCP) issues on HDMI and DVI. but again, no problem with Cable Matters! For this reason, I now exclusively buy their adapters. They also stand behind their products.
