Good “insurance” clamps, WITH your existing locks!
I’ve read a couple of reviews, that ding these clamps for the insecure(?) lock they provide. Granted, if I was a HEAVY weight lifter, and these were my only weight locks, for quick weight changes, I might be concerned. I bought these, as "insurance” clamps, to supplement the spin-lock weight locks, which invariably spin, WHILE you’re lifting! This is annoying at best, but can be dangerous, as well. Having these, combined with the spin locks, ensures the weights aren’t going anywhere, and stops the annoying clatter of loose weight plates!
- Won't damage barbells or plates
- The product may not be suitable for advanced lifters who require minimal movement between weights and barbell
