Faster weight swapping!

Makes swapping plates out on dumbbells waaaaaay faster than the standard screw down.As others have stated, they clamp on, so they don't have that screw down pressure on the plates to keep them from rotating slightly. I've noticed however that with regular lifting motions, the clamps stay in place and do their job. That being said, I might be cautious doing faster motions like swings with them or something.Overall, they're great! Perfect for my routine.

Pros
  • Easy to use we'll see how they hold up.
Cons
  • The clamps may not be suitable for Olympic weightlifting

Great product for the pricepoint.

Really happy with my purchase! I am a frequent body pump attendee and at my local gym quality clips are usually stolen or taken right off the bat! With that being said, I opted for these barbell clips and didn't have high hopes but am happy to say they work well! They are pretty tight and seem secure when I clamp on my weights.Since bodypump's focus is "light weights and lots of reps" I can't vouch for how much weight these can help secure on but the max I've personally put so far has…

Pros
  • Good product working for me recommend
Cons
  • The product may be overpriced for its quality and functionality

I measured my bars before purchasing and they range from 7/8" to 1 & 1/16". These collars fit on my curl bar, my threaded barbell, my 5' barbell, my threaded barbell, my threaded dumbells, and my 400lb capacity barbell. My 800 lb black oxide barbell is too big and they don't fit on that bar, but I have some plates that won't fit on that bar as well. I have no problem using these collars on any bar in the horizontal position. I don't think that I would use them on any bar in any other position…

Pros
  • Works very nice. Easy to use
Cons
  • The clamps may become loose during intense workouts, compromising safety

On a 1 in. smooth bar these work ideal!

I like them. You push on the handle to open them wide open, push it down to lock them on. Then when ready to remove push once again on the flap handle to open them up all the way holding it wide open as you slide them off. If you do this they won't be hard to put on or take off. But if you just try to slide them on and off without pushing them all the way open they will be a chore to take on and off. Push the collars toward the middle as you close them to make sure the weights are tightly…

Pros
  • Works great
Cons
  • The clamps may be too bulky and interfere with the user's grip on the barbell

They Worked on my review.

I have tried the metal barbell spring clips and another type of clamps. My bar is 1” with a thin urethane coating. The other devices were 24-25mm for a 1” bar. They would not fit. The set of Greententljs 1 Inch Barbell Clamps I purchased are about 1mm larger when fully open. These will slide on my bar and hold the plates secure. I did not rate as a 5 since I have only had them for about a week.

Pros
  • Easy to use, great value
Cons
  • The collar clips may be difficult to open for some users

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Way easier than metal clamps

These little clips are great. They're very sturdy and hold the metal weight plates quite well. Only downside is that the rubber insoles are a hair too thick and don't allow them to slide up the bar very easily when in the unlocked position. Aside from that they beat the metal spring clamps all day every day. No more murdering your fingers

Pros
  • 100% Brand New,The Inner Diameter Size:28.05 mm(1.105 inch), The Inner Spring Diameter Size:22.35 mm - 26.67 mm(0.888 Inch -1.050 inch)........PLEASE NOTE THE SIZE(1'',1 INCH,25MM BARBELL CLAMPS),Locking 1 inch bars
Cons
  • The product may not be suitable for CrossFit or other high-intensity workouts

These will work on thinner standard bars

I bought a standard "1inch” barbell, tried to put the collars I had on hand onto it, and found out that the bar was slightly thinner than 1 inch. I ordered these collars, and they clamp down on the slender bar perfectly.

Pros
  • Weights & Accessories
Cons
  • The product may not be suitable for users with sweaty hands or slippery grip

Review of frequently used product

I work out with dumbbells' on a daily basis. I have had these collars for over a year now and they get removed daily. They are durable and easy to use. I've never had a problem with them staying locked and have gone as high as 40lbs on a dumbbell while doing chest fly's, arm curls and behind the head tricep presses.

Pros
  • Happy with your product makes my work out a bit easier
Cons
  • The plastic material of the clamps may become brittle over time

Doesn't fit a solid bar

They didn't fit my 1" solid bar but fit my other 1" threaded bar. I already had some for that one so I ised my dremmell to grind the grip down and now it works on my solid bar

Pros
  • Saves time by allowing for quick and easy plate changes
Cons
  • The product may not be durable enough to withstand long-term heavy use

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Pretty nice and convenient

Now these do work, they can keep whatever you need in place and save you some time. Not much else to be said, they do the job and they're very convenient too.

Pros
  • Can be used for a variety of exercises, including squats, deadlifts, bench presses, and more
Cons
  • The clamps may not provide enough grip for the user's preferred knurling

Revainrating 2 out of 5

starting to slip off the bar!

After a couple months of use, I no longer trust the collars to stay tight. See the pic of how far a collar slipped after a couple sets of goblin squats.

Pros
  • Work as advertised!
Cons
  • The plastic material of the clamps may not be durable enough for heavy use

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Dangerous item in my review

Not strong enough, while working out it looses the tightness and weight plate fell off. Thank god it did not hit my head or face. Not happy with this item😡

Pros
  • Doesn't require any additional tools to use
Cons
  • The product may be unsuitable for users who require precise weight measurements

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Not for heavy lifters

So as like a lot of people during the COVID 19 pandemic I was forced out of my gym and into my basement. I had a few sets of old 1" dumbbells and weights that I blew the dust off of. These dumbbell bars the the small 1" style with the threaded ends. I think a lot of people probably have these. They worked well for a little while, but the inside ring started slipping. Real pain in the rear. So I knocked the rings off completely and bought these. So they work well as described. Very easy to take…

Pros
  • Reduces the risk of injury by ensuring a secure hold on the barbell
Cons
  • The product may be unsuitable for users who require frequent weight changes

These work great on my review.

Relatively easy to use and work great. Much better than the traditional clamps. My only complaint is that I should have gotten another color like neon yellow. The black ones blend right into the black rubber mats on my gym floor and I end up hunting for these things. I would point out that they are not quite as easy to use as the bigger 2" Olympic size ones but that is a minor complaint.

Pros
  • They work great. Easy to put on and take off.
Cons
  • The clamps may slip off the barbell during certain exercises

I purchased these to use on my 1" dumbell bars that have a threaded lock system. They are so close to being perfect, but if you use the dumbell in a vertical position (goblet squat or overhead tricep extension) the lock will slip in position, and this is only with 2 - 5lb plates pushing against it. I wouldn't even try it with more than that will fear of the plates crashing down.Other than that, they are quick and easy to use. Seem relatively durable and work great when the bar is in a…

Pros
  • An affordable and reliable investment for any fitness routine
Cons
  • The product may not be as reliable or consistent in its performance as traditional screw-on collars

Revainrating 1 out of 5

DANGER. DO NOT BUY. THEY DON'T HOLD.

These do not hold at all! Even fully locked they will slide off the end which could cause injury to yourself or whoever is near you. Fortunately I only had 10lb plates on the bar when this happened to me or it may have been really serious. First one slipped off, then the weight dragged the other side down and it also slipped off and the weight dented my floor.

Pros
  • Exercise & Fitness
Cons
  • The clamps may be difficult to lock and unlock quickly

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good cheap clamps good for me

Its a bit difficult to get on the weight but that makes sense you just gotta fidget with it a bit. It does keep the weight from sliding and moving. Way better than the other clamps I bought, would recommend these over anything else!

Pros
  • Can be used for both Olympic and standard barbells
Cons
  • The product may not be suitable for users with large hands due to the size of the clips

1 " Inch Barbell Clamps - Quick Release Pair

I have a threaded curl bar which is 1". These clamps work pretty well but are not super tight. If you have less than about 20 lbs. in plates on each side, they do their job fine. They may work better on a smooth 1" diameter bar, however I have none on which to test them.

Pros
  • Provides a secure grip to prevent plates from slipping off the bar
Cons
  • The product may not be suitable for users with arthritis or other joint problems

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Not very tight in my review

I use this for my standard barbell that has spiral lock threads. They slide on well but sometimes get caught on the threads. The plastic seems ok. Could be sturdier. The inside have two rubber pads that huh the bar. For my case I just wanted them to put some resistance on the weight so they don’t move too much. It works. But as I use them the rubber pads get worn (3 weeks in) and it gets looser each time. When I got them one of the pads were off. I guess I could place something under the rubber

Pros
  • Easy to use, one hand install ~ Spring powered,These collars are a favorite for crossfit and many other commercial gyms.
Cons
  • The clamps may move or shift during explosive exercises such as cleans or snatches

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Doesn't grip as well as expected

I wrapped some electrical tape on the clamp and it helped some, any play 20lb or heavier it won't clamp very well. I would not use for bumb bells at all.

Pros
  • The coupling fits tightly. No concerns about it sliding off and is easy to use.
Cons
  • The clamps may come loose when the barbell is dropped or banged against the ground
