I waited a bit before writing a review as I really wanted to use it before commenting. This system is a yay/boo element. It will get the job done, it's pretty easy to set up and maintain, but you'll spend a lot of time adjusting the valve throughout the day. First, let me advise you to buy a bubble counter and a second valve. You will need this second valve to control the gas after the first month as the valve just doesn't seem to close after a while of use by then and you don't want to over-tighten the knob. This device is also not powerful enough for a mid-level CO2 diffuser. At least not for me. This is normal as the air stone is currently working properly. Another problem is clogging of the tube itself on the soda side. You should blow out the ammo as you refuel to keep things going. I'd also suggest getting a 10lb bag of citric acid and a large box of baking soda. Thus, the overall price per charge is better. If you have a postal scale to get an accurate weight, even better. Otherwise, it's about 3/4 cup of citric acid and baking soda to make 200 grams. I use this in a 65 gallon tank and change the ingredients about every 3-5 days. In hindsight, this would probably be better for smaller tanks, but I've had "green" readings on my CO2 indicator on a number of occasions and I can visually see that my plants are doing better than without. (I have two other, smaller, low-tech, non-CO2 tanks, and they can't quite match the height difference on this one.) Overall I think it's worth it if you have the time and patience to play around with .or use it on a smaller tank. It's probably worth it if you want the right CO2 setting, but you just need some time to save up for it.
