These are great phones, like most Panasonics, but I'm very disappointed with the standby time, which is around 48 hours for the two standard AAA batteries used in the device. Panasonic block battery models last much longer on standby as I have had many Panasonic models. (I've always upgraded because I wanted more features, like speaking caller ID, as phones themselves rarely fail, other than batteries needing to be replaced about every 3 years.) So if standby time is a concern, this is it Model my last choice in line. Panasonics or any other phone that only uses 2 AAA batteries as a power source. There's one other big deal about this phone model, and the seller here just shipped it from one of the two big US wholesale clubs. " (I don't think I can name it but it starts with "C") where I have a membership but haven't taken the time to check the price and look online to see where that is Phone was $40 cheaper than my membership was bought directly from my club membership I know my mistake but I bought several of these and the price went down a lot because I ate $40 each so I returned them without the box to open once I've seen them from my stock C. I don't think this activity should be allowed but I suppose if you're like me and don't spend enough time shopping you'll get stung easily.
