Although this product description says burlap, the material is softer and similar in color to burlap, but has the appearance of burlap. Fabric made from a specially processed jute thread. It also appears to have some sort of thin fleece lining that was probably integrated into the material through a thermal process. So basically they are bags lined with burlap. The usable space of these bags is 4 inches wide and 4 1/2 inches high. The other part is the drawstring and the top hem. When choosing a size for your items/box, keep in mind the depth of the items or box, as the thicker (the box) is, the less likely it is to fit that size. These bags have a slight sheen that adds to the look but is not as rustic as pure jute. I like this instead of pure burlap and they don't smell like real burlap products. A cord (something like a flat cord) is fine for tying a single tie, but not long enough to make a decent bow. The visible seams of these bags are neat. I think this is a good alternative to clean jute or organza bags. They are not translucent and are also suitable for heavy objects. Thank you for reading.
