It Works Great! We have a 15lb Rat Terrier/Chihuahua mix. She could eat in 15 seconds and then gnaw and burp for hours. Not only was it bad for her, it was scary to see! As a result, she takes about 3-4 minutes to eat her food and after that she doesn't pant or belch. She is still worried and desperately tries to eat, but the bowl makes it physically impossible for her to swallow food. When she's done she checks every nook and cranny just to make sure she hasn't missed anything :) The bowl is deeper than I thought it could hold 2 cups of food but it works great with her longer snout so there can she still go? I would recommend a smaller plate if your pet has a flatter snout/snout or weighs less than 15 pounds. We also have a 5lb Pomeranian, he doesn't have this bowl problem but if he did he would need a much smaller and shallower bowl than this. I also love that it has handles on the bottom to prevent the bowl from slipping and tipping over, which is also well known. We have hardwood floors and she didn't knock over the bowl. Good product!
