Recently switched from Mac to PC and immediately missed the flat Macintosh keyboard with its quiet, equally flat keys. The Kensington Slim Type Wired Keyboard is more than just a replacement: it's more than twice the weight of Macintosh keyboards and feels very solid. Its heavy weight, combined with rubber pads on the bottom, also prevents accidental movement of the keyboard; it stays where you want it until you pick it up and move it. Although the look is very sleek and minimalist, Kensington offers all the features you would expect and want from a Windows keyboard, with additional shortcuts to some of the most commonly used functions (email client, My Computer, etc.) as well as volume and even a sleep button that eliminates the need to access the on-screen menu. Last but not least, it has an indicator light that lets you know when CapsLock is on, which is especially useful when entering passwords. Whisper is quiet when typing (just a quibble for those who like the audible feedback of a more traditional keyboard). If you crave elegance, functionality and the complete opposite of fragility, this is the keyboard for you. Last but not least, it comes at a very attractive price.
